Any grappling arts that require knee drop to the ground is bad for the knee.

bjj should be fine for your knees. i've had a repaired acl in my right knee and my left knee has been dodgy for years. i've trained for years and i'm in my forties. wear a brace, and some pads and you should be totally fine.

of course, it is a physical activity and there's always a risk to any workout. tell your sparring partner you've got an issue and tap early, you should be good.

Having a go at Wing Chun at the moment....so far so good! Physio is a lot happier with my progress which is great. Theres something about the stance which is slowly building my knee up again.

Still got the itch for a grappling art thought, maybe in future :)

There's plenty of grappling (mainly bjj) in the West Mids so you should have plenty to choose from. Where you training the WC? (can pm if you prefer) as there's lots of WC in the area too ranging from very good to oh dear ;-)

either way best of luck with your training
