I want to track my progress. I think I'll do so better if I keep an online log, so here goes.

I recently swapped up my schedule from training (traditional) Jiu Jitsu 2x/week + 1 weight training day.

Now instead I'm planning on doing:

Judo 2x/week (2hr each)
jiu jitsu 2x/week (1hr each)
Weight training 3x/2 weeks. (Still getting this set up, should start within the next few weeks.)

So that's only 1-2 rest days per week. I'll have to see if this is too much.

Without further ado...

10/3...

Hi folks,
I'm a 2nd dan karate instructor aspiring to open a branch studio of the school where I currently teach and train. I've seen 2 common refrains I've heard across several discussion boards about starting up a studio:

1) start small by renting a room per hour in say a school, gym, or church to build up numbers before signing a lease for dedicated store space. This totally makes sense from a cash flow perspective - paying for capacity you're not in position to use is just burning...

After too long being complacent, I finally decided / realised that I'm unfit and overweight. As a result, I'm now working out three times a week, including personal training sessions with a guy who I swear is trying to kill me.

No questions at this point, just thought I'd share!
