Interesting article. Personally, I don't do test cutting; not for any great pressing reason, it just doesn't occur to me to arrange it.

Thanks for the post, I can see the value of test cutting, particularily for public demos - Just back from a corporate event at Glamis Castle which included demonstrating the "effectiveness" of medieval steel helmets against the sword - thankfully it was a lovely Irish style armour class blunt but my ears are still ringing

I absoutely agree Kurt, but it's alittle more complicated here than on the other side of the Atlantic. I don't have a private garden anymore and sharps in public = 5 years in prison.
