Beware: Oem Yung Doe, Chung Moo Quan school

This post is a kind of follow up to the OYD, CMQ thread.

If you live in the Chicago Western suburbs, specifically Lisle, Naperville, Aurora, don't go to the school below.

It's actually a rogue school because the owner broke away from the cult leader. But make no mistake -- its forms, techniques, philosophy and business practices are still OYD/CMQ. None of the styles listed on the school's website are being taught.

 

Sure looks like one of them! Read the book, Chasing the Moo.....

I TOOK CHUNG MOO QUAN FOR SEVERAL YEARS, GOT TO THIRD DEGREE.
BECAUSE I WOULDN'T INSTALL HVAC IN MASTER KIM'S MANSION FOR FREE IN CHICAGO ILLINOIS SUBURB, REGIONAL HEAD INSTRUCTOR TOOK AWAY MY BELT AND WOULDN'T RETURN IT. AFTER I QUIT BECAUSE I REFUSED TO BECOME AN INSTRUCTOR THEY CALLED MY HOUSE AND THREATENED MY LIFE, WHICH WAS RECORDED ON MY MACHINE.
I WAS REPEATEDLY PUNISHED FOR NOT BOWING TO THE KOREAN FLAG, AND NOT SHOWING FEAR TO MY INSTRUCTOR. IT IS A CULT,NO DOUBT

So were the postings from Yahoo discussion boards true?
Specifically the outrageous prices charged for attending weekend and week-long seminars - basically to learn pieces of never ending forms (kata).

I'm not spring for postage to tell you I tried a John C Kim school of Chung Moo Quan (later changed to Do) for a few months and the places are money grubbing McDojo's with a cultish ambiance!

 

Well that does at least go some way to explaining why you're so strange
