Hi folks - just curious if any of you who train Aikido in the UK recognize either of the names listed at the following website for Yoshinkan Aikido.

    http://www.aikido-yoshinkan.net/#_Toc149043778

I am curious about the names mentioned under the instructor profile:

Sensei Blackmore is here doing Kihon Dosa Rensoku Dosa:

I believe the 'Sensei Harrison' that they are speaking of is Godan Terry Harrison who is listed under the instructors here:

    http://www.kenshinkai.org.uk/

From what I can tell they appear to have very solid credentials.
Have any of you ever trained with either of them or heard of them in the UK Aikido community?

If you have can you please give me your opinion of them.
    Thanks.

I was hoping that someone would be familiar with the instructors posted above given that we has so many Brits on the site.

    errmm... anyone?

The two people most likely to be able to answer this question have left the board. Shame.

ah... that must have been during the arguments over the Aikido dictionary/glossary thread.

Never have trained with them myself but the Yoshinkan does have a good reputation. Are you considering taking up Aikido? Then why not check the IYAF Dojo List for yourself?

I used to train Aikido ages ago... and I train Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu... but recently met this fella in town and wondered if anyone here had actually trained under or with him.
