I havn't learned the dummy form yet, but I am excited too. I heard once that some would put the dummy as the center of the plum flower footwork pattern... not sure if thats true.
Has anyone learned something similiar under other william cheung lineages or can you explain any differences (tsteps especially) i know my sifu likes the side neutral stance, so we do emphasize it... it does help protect the growin (turned) and gives you a smaller target (slightly turned not wide shoulderd)... wing chun is amazing for side neautral stances.... a punch from the left requires a different block/combo then a punch from the right (same style punches) like you might tan sao or ban sao
