Yea he did in the fifth, Id forgotten about that! But if your there to fight, you have to use 'octangonal aggression' if you want to win you have to counter or enter, unfortunatly Maia (who is freakin awesome at Jits) couldnt do those to Silva consistantly, it was just a bad match up for him.
I think its been mentioned but when it became clear Silva wasn't going to strike and was jumping around like a twit Maia should of just laid down and told Silva to get in guard. Ah well.
But then you get the likes of Stephane Bonnar who will always have a job with the UFC on the back of the Forrest fight which may be exciting but was sloppy as anything,any good counter puncher would have put either away early,then you get Jens Pulver who has been cut for lossing fights and now lost his commentary position on the WEC aswell to Bonnar. Leonard Garcia aswell now after the Jung Fight will never get cut,should be 0-5 in last few fights for just swinging but continues to get poor decisions and pushed by Zuffa
