Any places or people in Philly that I could learn Silat from? I was having trouble looking it up.

Unfortunately I wasn't really able to find much for you with a quick websearch either. What I did find I have no personal experience with so I can't really recommend anything myself but maybe these might help you in your search.

It seems that there is some of the Malaysian Seni Gayong cats in that area, but it appears to be a "backyard training" kind of enviornment instead of a full-on school. (Although sometimes those are the best ways to learn in my opinion) You can find some contact info on this page:

Not sure how much silat is done at this place. They have a page saying they teach Kuntao Silat De Thouars there but I don't see it listed in their class schedule. However on a side note, they also teach Sayoc Kali here and if you are at all interested in philipino blade systems that is *definitely* worth checking out. Anyway, here's the site:

Of course if its worth the drive for you, Rick Tucci's school is just up the road a spell and I believe they teach Mande Muda, Bukti Negara and of course Dan Inosanto's blend of silat systems. Here's their site:

That's all that *I* could find with a quick google, but I'm sure there are more out there. Good luck to you. Hope you find a system and teacher that you are happy with.
