Really? What did you like about it?

I just watched The Karate Kid (1984) for the first time, and it was awesome! :D

The story was awesome, and if you liked Gladiator, this one is even better.

I'm a Medieval fanatic, and the backdrop is beautiful.

You'll have to watch it. I highly recommend you do!

    True Legend

Just watched True Legend with Vincent Zhao. Interesting film with the usual disjointedness of a HK production. It's a new take on the Beggar Su role.

Some of the action is awesome. Some is forgettable.

    Overall worthwhile.

Just bought IP Man 2 as well. That's next in line to watch.

'Sarah Silverman - Jesus is Magic'.

Very 'edgy' comedy, and a bit hit-and-miss. Hilarious in places, a bit lame in others. I found that I'd already heard most of the best lines, but they were worth hearing again, and there was plenty that was new to me.

Overall it's very good, but don't watch it if you're: (a) easily offended, (b) politically-correct or (c) think that 'irony' is an adjective for 'metally things'.

I've been looking for this one;it's probably not coming to the US for a long time. There haven't been any "underground fighting circuit" movies worth checking out in a long time.

I'm in the process of watching the near three hour extended version of 'The Da Vinci Code'. It's dull, dull, dull. Loved the book, meh the film... Still, it might pick up, I've got 1 hour to go on it...

Iron Man 2, for the second time.

I saw it once with my boyfriend, then with my brother because he hadn't seen it. I really liked it though so I'm not complaining.

    Prince of Persia... absolute toss.

    Beyond bad.
    Zero character development.
Not a Persian in sight... not even anyone who could pass as Persian.
    Laughable acting on all sides.
CG overdose to the point that nothing has any weight.
    Fight choreography that is absymal.

Once again... Hollywood makes cardboard cutouts of what was once one of the most powerful empires in antiquity.

    Pathetic.

    Ninja Assassin.

Violent, seen all the sword play before. The Director probably watched Kill Bill and thought 'I like the blood flying around, I'll add that'.

Some good steel whip stuff though. Not a film to watch twice. 6/10.

Watched the extended edition of 'Angels and Demons' - the follow up to 'The Da Vinci Code', but bookwise it's set before the events of the latter.

Complete and utter guff! Looks very pretty in HD, but, like the first movie, dull, dull, dull...

'Vicky Cristina Barcelona'. Didn't know what to expect, but wasan't disappointed. Beautiful locations, great perfomances, and a deceptively subtle film about relationships, loss, etc.

And seeing Penelope Cruz snogging Scarlett Johannsson got an old man's pulse racing!

Koyo, was that just a home movie from the good ol' days?

It is a classic in my house.

Mrs koyo throws my kit into the washing machine and says "If it moves kill it" misquoting William Holden.
