Do you not have to compete to gain the belt? Not trying to trick you up here or anything (lol) - just wondered as I thought contests were the main part of the gradings?
yup, they are here, could be from an association which is more concentrated on theory though. Something which seems to be very overlooked because of the importance of the competitions. K
I'm a 6th degree green belt and I've been at it for about 5 or 6 years now. I should be higher but I haven't been tested in ages. Last couple of tests we had I skipped because I don't like being tested. I was planning on doing the next test though. That blue belt is right around the corner.
