I've always been partial to "respect your weapon" personally. You could probably adapt the wartime saying with "there are no atheists in a knife fight" or something along those lines.

In the spirit of my last post, go to a shooting range. Toddle downrange to pick up your targets when the line is "hot". Turn around holding a firearm and let the barrel sweep half the people there. Pull out the hipflask and take a snort while you're shooting. I can guarantee you will hear lots of memorable sayings about respecting your weapon from the Range Safety Officer. You will not be able to publish most of them on MAP
