Has anyone played Titan fall yet? if so is it any good? I am a fan of games like Halo and Crisis so I am wondering if it is along those lines.

Those who have gotten into the Alpha and are under NDA have pretty much praised it. ;) Beta is due in the next week or two.

It's more like Call of Duty with mechs and sci if weapons, only less of the respawn into someone's sights crap due to the lower player count. It runs on the Source Engine and is made by the members of the team that made Modern Warfare.

There's no single player. Campaign and multiplayer are fused into one. There are various customisation options though what's final is yet to be officialised.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Many have slated the lower resolution 720p on xbox one too though. Respawn have said the res was so low because in Alpha test and graphics and res will be sorted for release. Hard to Imagine how they can nail it with the game released in little over a month.

It's not out yet. It looks like CoD had a secret love baby with Transformers and bred an insane orgy that is a shooty game with awesome robots.

There's a decent amount of gameplay footage in this song though to have a look at:

General feedback so far from those who have played preview versions are that it is incredibly good fun.

    Resolution wars don't interest me.

They don't have to interest you. It's not resolution wars, thats when you compare multiplatform releases.

This is to do with the fact that Respawn stated the game would run at 1080p and 60fps. Native on the pc it does run at this however if the 1080p is upscaled via the cloud (For xbox one) then thats fine as long as they state the reason is to maintain 60fps. If this is not stated then they have operated in deception. Begs the question why can the xbox one not run there own exclusive title in native 1080p?????

Blinkered thinking is the reason games companies get away with it. like i say you don't have to care, i on the other hand do care. I have watched respawn since the breakaway from infinity ward and am a fan but too many people are being conned by games companies and in this case M$. Tell us if the game runs 1080p native, tell us the "future proof" system we bought is in fact future proof.

kinda reminds me of blacklight retribution actually, except players didn't have the ability to scale buildings and the robot had only one type i believe.

I don't play games on a console for their resolution otherwise I would just play them on my CFX PC in glorious 1440p downscaled to 1080p.

Honestly the resolution gate argument has been done to death on numerous forums and it's something, to be quite honest, I just get sick of reading about over and over again. There really is little point in trying to hold a discussion with me about it as I will just end up ignoring half of what is said because I just cannot be bothered to hold yet another discussion on the subject.

I prefer talking about game features and gameplay rather than what resolution it runs at or what FPS it runs at. As long as it looks good, and runs well that's all that matters to me. If I wanted to discuss stuff like that at great length and get into pointless arguments with people who can't do a thing about it anyway then I'd just go back to Neogaf. :)

Yeah in your case i would get it for PC, doesn't make sense to play the weaker yet more expensive version.

I'll actually be buying it on Xbox One so I can play it with my friends. Will probably get it on PC too but am waiting to see what it is like with Origin first.
