Why do most guys like long hair on a woman rather than short hair? I'm curious...

Some women really seem to suit short hair and can carry it off! I have a friend who looks great with short hair,whereas whenever I had it I think I perhaps lacked the confidence (and the bone structure!)

I think perhaps it has something to do with the long history of imagery of women with long hair and it being seen as being more "womanly".

But,not being a man, I can't comment!

What about women liking men with long hair (Victoria!!!). I personally don't like long haired men.

 

Looks more feminine. I.e. femininity denotes fertility, the length and quality of the hair shows genetic and overall health, i.e. reproductive health. So I guess long healthy hair is like a good advert. Most of this is instinctual.

Hmmm... I like both. It just depends on the guy. I mean, Orlando Bloom with long hair is yummy, but with short hair he looks...weird.

I do not like women with long hair down their back. I prefare it on their head. SORRY could not resist that one.
I have long hair and am male. Long hair on a handsome man makes him even more handsome on an ugly guy it makes him look dangerous. (just covering my bases)

Depends on the girl, a skinny face suits shorter hair. More women should dye there hair a girl in uni has purple hair which looks realy nice.

 

In that case, I generally prefer long hair - but some women look better with it short, so there isn't a really simple answer!

The most attractive a woman can look is having her hair the length which suits her, and that is the most important thing for me. Any length can be good - so long as it's the right length.

 

Shoulder length blonde hair is hawt. If the girl has a cute face that is.

It all depends for me. I've been in relationships with ladies before who have a very cute face and can carry off shoulder length hair. But then I've been with others who really suit chest length hair. It's pretty much 50/50 on preference although in the past most of my relationships have been with long haired ladies, however I don't think it's a factor involved, just coincidence.
