Hello all, How much do you stress, train in, teach, (I think that covers it) the Theory of Unbalancing or Off balancing?
I was taught that without a "base" you have nothing , no power , and no chance of defense or offense .Over the years I have seen that this is very true and goes for the opponent as well as yourself . In my Hapkido class my instructor stresses that fact in every technique from the break aways to the kick defenses . Whether we are "weighting" or going for completely balance disruption the effects are similiar : slower reaction times , hesitancy , less power , and less mobility . To say it again .. without balance there is no defense or offense . BackFistMonkey
