The MAP Genie grants you 3 wishes. Your first wish cannot be for further wishes. Remember for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, so choose carefully.
1) I wish for scrooge mcduckian style wealth. 2) for my second wish, I wish for infinate wishes 2) as I imagine my infinate wishes won't be granted, I want my genie to turn to Jeannie from I dream of Jeannie, so I still get infinate wishes 3) or Samantha from bewitched.... Hilarity and infinate wishes ensure! 4) actually just my very own tardis would be fine. As long as my companion isn't Catherine tate.
1. World Peace 2. Global redistribution of wealth 3. An interstellar colony ark ship When I was a boy, I would have stopped at Jeannie and been happy...
I just wish these arms weren't so goddamn massive and rippling with vascularity. I can barely contain them in my shirt.
1) Scrooge McDuck's wealth (that was a good call!) 2) To be a master of Sinanju 3) Have Wolverine/Deadpool's healing power
1.) Immortality the negative effects of aging. 2.) Invincibility or a healing factor that would be almost the same. 3.) The ability to control time.
1) To have the insight I have now when I was younger would of saved a lot of time and wasted effort. 2) Ability to go back in time and train with with George Silver (HEMA) 3)Katy Perry.. no other comments needed.
1) Everyone would get unlimited clean water, free. 2) Everyone would get unlimited high speed Internet, free. 3) Everyone would get sufficient high quality nutrition, free.
This thread reminds me of the old "deal with the devil" type horror stories, whereby granted wishes have unintended bad consequences. What unintended consequences could come from your wishes? Worldwide money redistribution, the fractional reserve money system fails, leading to world wide famine. Unlimited clean water, = water pollution not taken seriously, animals die, biodiversity fails. World peace = tyrants like mugabe etc stay in power. Or we give up our weapons and then kang and kodos invade!
I think this is why the question is so fascinating. I'd like to cure my wife's type 1 diabetes, but then why not end all diabetes and if that's the case why not end all disease? I'm going to take a personal approach by saying for choice 1 I'd end my wife's diabetes and the associates issues that goes with it. Still pondering my other 2 choices.
The positive consequences of ending global war, famine, poverty, thirst and disease are just as probable as the negative consequences that people in this thread are concentrating on. Lighten up.
I don't think your taking this game of magic wishes seriously enough!! Fair point..... Just thought it would be a good (I'd slightly depressing) discussion..... Besides who doesn't like the tree house of horror!
How about allowing CRISPR a massive jump, which allows for accurate and reliable gene editing! Of course then the gene genie is out of the bottle....
1) Scrooge McDuck's wealth -- ya, either I've taken it from someone else, who is now hurting, or I've increased inflation. (sigh) 2) master of Sinanju -- no, this is only a problem for the poor souls who cross me! 3) Wolverine/Deadpool's healing power -- ya, eventually, after enough lifetimes, I won't care about other people anymore.
Not necessary, moneys created all the time by banks, most money isn't physical now, and as long as you don't spend the entire lot in one, inflation won't be affected. But it will effect how people treat you, I'd buy a few business install well paid staff who have profit sharing contracts and pretend that's my only income. Then I'd invest ethically and become another george soros and see how crazy the conspiracy theory would get!
