Before FMA blade work, me and my buddies didn't have fancy McDojos around offering fancy "edge weapon training". We trained because we saw first hand what edge weapons can do to your body. We were training with Sharpee markers and pencils to simulate shankings and cuttings. We didn't have the time and luxury for patty cake drills.

Many in the FMAs are missing the whole point of blade work. Knife duels may happen, but more than likely you won't see it coming. And it's not going to be a trainer or coconut wooden knife you can fool around with. You gotta keep on moving, man, you can't just stand there playing patty cake with sticks and fake knives.

Are you suggesting here that the UK is a minor league in comparison to the US and that the FMA here is somehow behind in terms of skill set and level of fighters. Therefore the pressure testing I have undertaken is worthless?

If so, all I will say is that I have fought against the best in Europe, many of which regularly come to the UK to fight, I could name drop here, but I feel that would be unfair to those it concerned, suffice to say I have fought against some very well known FMA guys, in a full contact, anything goes format, with solid rattan sticks and no body armour.

The level of FMA in the UK is extremely high, we have some of the best Instructors representing some of the finest styles or Kali, Eskrima and Arnis here in the UK. So again, I offer you the chance to see for yourself. We are having an open event on August 15th. So you are welcome to come. To avoid advertising, you can email me for details.

Also, if you believe what you say is true and are prepared to "show up or shut up" as you keep putting it, then stop hiding and tell people who you are. Otherwise you come across as a worthless Troll.

I think the time has come for us to "draw a line" under this thread. We are all being "lead" along and I think it is high time we "erased" this from memory!
