Muay Thai has nice "monkey climbs" but it is not common to see them that often, as opposed to say Bando and other SE Asian arts.

Muay Thai has sooo many moves Teflon,I belive Capoeira has the same kick

 

What is the purpose of the "monkey climb" at approx 28 seconds?

 

Ive seen it used to 'smother' the opponent in the clinch so nothing happens and the referee breaks it so they go back to fighting on the outside

 

Yeah, that kick is in both Muay Thai and Capoeira.

 

sagetdao's beaten him what, 3 times now? think the times is starting to take its toll on him tbh. Got quite bad knees now.

 

No one stays on top forever. Muay Thai is by and large a young mans sport. The hungry must be fed.

 

Yeah Sagetdao has beaten him and Sagetdao is the bigger man,takes nothing away from Saenchai who has had 70 + losses being pound for pound the best modern day Femur,Ive heard so many Boxers and coaches in Thailand when asked who is the best they say Saenchai

 

Oh I'm not ratting on him at all! Seen him fight 3 times now, even been to a club with the crazy wee guy after a show. He's definitely one of the most exciting fighters out there but I think times starting to catch up and I think in a year or two you'll start to see people saying the same about sagetdao. I mean isnt he the only fighter saenchai doesn't give weight away to?

 

Muay boran moves.. Hanuman climbs the mountain or whatever.., is used in 2 instances.
1= when yourkicking your opponents ass so bad you can showboat it.
2= in demonstrations

That's it.

also what is the name "muay femur"? did you make it up? lol.
it suggests that it is low kicks only (thigh bone boxing)

would make more sense to say "who has the best low kicks"
