I've recently been asked to recommend heavy bags and/or speed bags for a very large athletic facility I teach at. The director of student activities wants a new heavy bag because the last one was beaten till it split open and the stand was destroyed before that. I suggested wavemasters. He wants to have speed bags because of student interest but he is worried about the noise. The building is 2 stories high and completely open with a track and gym on the upper floor, so everything echoes. Is there a noise-free alternative or a low noise bag?
I don't know about the wavemasters. I'd think something like a Fairtex banna bag would more suitable and wear better. speedbags have to bounce to be effective. I've never seen on that was quiet. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist; I've just never seen it.
