Smiths?

Hi peeps,

I was wondering if there are any smiths on the forum. You know, people who make metal weapons like katana's for instance or knifes and stuff.
If you are one; how and were did you learn it and why?

i was jsut going to say that as I looked at the topic. Cool.
Ive actually made two knives oneof which im rather proud of. I lern in a collgeg class made them by stock removal, griding sanding, fliing etc
And why is it taht every time someone wants to know how to make a sowrd thay almsot always ask how to make a katana?
