RIP Grandmaster Antonio Somera

    I found out today Grandmaster Antonio Somera(1957-2013) passed away. He was successor of the late Grandmaster Leo Giron of the Giron/Bahalana system. Rest in peace!

    Very sad. GM Tony did some seminars at my first MA school, MKG Seattle. While I did not get heavily into his system the way a lot of my classmates did, I took the seminars and found him to be extremely skilled, kind and gracious. I was really impressed with how he was as concerned about preserving Filipino culture and history as he was about preserving the techniques.
