Singer/Bassist/Songwriter Randy Meisner passed away recently. Founding member of both Poco and Eagles Randy was always in the shadows of his more famous bandmates. A lot of people might not recognize his name but I bet they could sing along to Take it to the limit. I remember really liking his solo album "One more song" and the hits "Hearts on fire" and "Deep inside my heart". I also remember a great live performance of those songs on the late night show Fridays (those videos are alive online). As a member of Eagles Randy's voice and playing are a part of some of the most memorable songs/albums of this era. Always a little sad to lose someone who contributed so much to the soundtrack of my youth. One of the best Eagles songs is the Randy-led Try to love again from the Hotel California album...I encourage all to give it a listen in tribute.
