Hi, I'm working on a story about someone who goes to prison on purpose in order to take revenge on the person who killed his family. Does anyone know of a book/movie that's dealt with a similar theme? Also I have, luckily, no experience of prisons or the justice system. Does anyone have good info about sites/links/sources/books that give a realistic account about what it's like in a (modern, western) prison, from the inside? I want to stay well clear of hollywood stereotypes. Thanks for your help!
:bang: :bang: :bang: I know there is a movie like this, I just can't think of the name!!! give me a minute :bang: :bang: :bang: EDIT: Found it. http://imdb.com/title/tt0321704/ This isn't quite the same, I forgot the exact stroyline because the movie really sucked and I watched it a while ago. This is where the guy goes to prison to find out what some criminal or someone did to his girlfriend, so it's kinda revenge.
I read both Dave Courtney & Lenny McLean books recently, they both talk about prison life. Interesting and eye opening books. I'd recommend a read!
i once read a book called "everything under the sun" or something like that.....well the jist of the book was how everthing in hollywood and modern literature has been done before. it was shocking how much stuff is retreaded. so dont worry about it......just concentrate on you story and character development. good luck.
