hi all, im interested in learning hapkido. but i have no martial arts experience and it seems that every place i look into offers a class as intermediary, usu. requiring some background in a martial art. Is it necessary to be skilled in basic forms to learn hapkido? Thanks for any help you guys could give me.

    Hello all,

No, there are no pre-req's for learning Hapkido. That being said, where are you and where are you looking to train?

i was lookin to train in the metro detroit area. but i finally got a hold of a place that told me i dont need to have prior experience in another MA. thanks tho for the help. i set up a day to sit in on a class to see if i would like it. i would be very appreciative if you have any other tips for me to make note of the class when i sit in. like i said im a noob and dont fully understand what hapkido is about (even tho i have read countless posts on this site about it). thank you
