SS has officially owned you, Andy. Best to run from this thread as fast as you can. BTW, I like my cocobolo chucks.
has to be metal for me, and trust me, it hurts a lot more than any wooden nunchaku ive used (puts ice pack to head)
haha, sucker! wait...seems i'm only 15. fortunate then that i don't train any weapons, and i've somehow landed in the wrong forum.
our club has an advantage with buying weapons: our sensei owns the local shop so he sells us what we want if he thinks we can use it ok and safely
I'd have a pair of hardwood, and I think I like them best. I've tried rattin.....they're too light for me. Though I would like to try metal out
My 10yo son has a pair of hardwood chucks too and he is getting pretty good with them! By the time he is black belt material [about 2-3yrs away still] he will be an expert!
Hardwood! I'm 15 and I have red oak chucks. If your store won't sell them to you, just buy them online. That's what I did.
thnx! He's a pretty cool kid, he's 10yo going on 15 most of the time! If he sticks with MA he will be awesome by the time he is an adult. This year he will be grading for his green belt [3rd kyu] and should go well because he already knows the syllabus and the 2 grading kata. I gave him sai and tonfa and a new set of sticks for xmas! He was stoked and has been working with them off an on ever since.
