the 6th one down is my favourate but youve got some really nice shots their what was the exposure time etc you used, and what camera have you got if you dont mind me askin? also sgt major how did you leave the exposure for 30 minutes and not have the picture white out? just curios because i like those kinda shots just haven't done one yet. last but not least wich is the best site to upload photos too if you want to put them on here?
I fiddled around with the exposure time several times during the show. I think I eventually settled on ISO200, 0.1-0.2s exposure and an aperture of about f4. I had hoped to use a tripod, but forgot to take the adapter with me!
that jus makes it more impressive!! heres some photography ive messed about with let me no what you all think cheers! (this photo below is for a uni project advertising amnesty international) (this photo below is for a uni project advertising gingerbread org)

Just because this thread needs reviving, some photos of martial arts (thus combining the purpose of the forum with this particular hobby). I should note that Lucy took these, hence I'm in a lot of them. I did the editing afterwards and set up most of the camera functions, but she did a fantastic job of framing and focusing.
Aegis, I now suspect you have the magical ability of flight. Anyways, here are mine. Hope you enjoy! 1. http://bpp3.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d30htem 2. http://bpp3.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d30ef8a 3. http://bpp3.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d307mw9 4. http://bpp3.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d30u05m

I am hoping to buy my first D-SLR in the new year and have been looking at maybe getting the sony Alpha 290 as it is cheap and seems like it has a decent supply of lens' (Konica / Minolta mount AF lenses compatibility). Can anyone with experience give their opinion on this model? Cheers, Lee.
If you mean mine, all of the last set were shot with a Canon 1000D using a 50mm f1.8 fixed lens. I believe the ISO was cranked up to 800 and the shutter speed reduced to about 1/1000s to capture the movement without blur. As you can see, the end result comes out looking very dark, even after editing, but I don't think it detracts too much from the shots.
Never used it, I'm afraid. I can very much recommend either the Canon or Nikon entry level DSLRs, as both of them are capable of sensational shots with a huge variety of lenses.
