I actually agree with you here. As long as noone is standing too close, cutting up water bottles can be uncomplicated fun. A big emphasis in mine is to shut up, work hard and keep focus. There are dangers in a dojo, that is true. That is why there needs to be control. Muscles can be controlled, rigid wooden weapons can be controlled. A very breakable sword cannot be controlled because when it breaks uncontrollable things happen. I'd use the term less crappy instead of higher quality.
