In the uk the summer holidays are coming to an end. People are beginning to think about starting new courses and learning new things. Which means that many classes are gearing up to take in new students right now. Do you have any new school year resolutions? With me its learning boxing – Last year I found a great club but my work schedule would not let me attend. This year I have re organised my work schedule so that I can. Yay!
Not really a new school year resolution, because the timing is coincidence: But with the beginning of October one of my trainers starts a competitor class in addition to the usual training times. I don't know yet how often that will be, but I asked if I could attend as well and he said "sure". I don't expect to become a great competitor anymore, but I hope to have some fun with it at least. Aside from dying and ending as human punching bag.
My flexibility is the thing I'm most wanting to improve ATM. I'm twice daily stretching and want cheesy, 1990's tournament film, kicking dexterity by spring term 2018.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, NORMIES! Seems like a fitting response to this by me.
As my shoulder is just about healed (or feels it) from my dislocation last month I will be throwing myself back into my HMB training (just brought a new set of bespoke gauntlets so have to now!) as was gutted that I wouldn't be able to compete at the end of this month (trainer was against it due to the risk of causing a worse long term injury due to the amount of grappling in the sport), Looking at the next piece of my armour and some new weaponry. I also want to get back to my Jujitsu training which has been a major part of my training for the last seven/eight years? with Smurf's Dojo, last attempt after the injury didn't go to well...
