    well lets try this game.

each person puts up a part of any song, leaving a gap at some point to be filled in(preferably one people might know of) and everyone else has to:-

    1. name the band
    2. name the song
    3. finish the lyrics for that part of the song.
    4. name the album

also dont be too ridiculous, dont put up something like

'we' and expect anyone to get you mean 'we will rock you' it just aint gonna happen.

    I'll start:-

Oh baby your'e the only thing is this whole world
thats pure and good and right
and wherever you are and wherever you go
theres always gonna be some light
    but I gotta get out
I gotta break it out now
before the final crack of dawn
so we gotta make the most of our one night together
    when its over you know
    we'll both be so alone

(missing line, come on this is easy!!)
I'll be gone when the morning comes
    when the night is over....

    excerpt ends.

    give it a go.

I know from the first line it's Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf. I can't remember the line or the album though, unless the album is Bat out of Hell? I'm not really into meatloaf.

indeed it is Bat out of Hell, from the album Bat out of Hell, released in 1977.

and the line is 'Like a bat out of Hell'

this AMAZING album spent an unbelieveable 471 weeks in the LP charts.

Thats more than 9 years!! as one of the top 100 selling albums!

ok lets continue on this vein as its just too good to stop now

You hold me so close that my knees grow weak
but my soul is flying high above the ground
I'm tyring to speak but no matter what I do
I just can't seem to make any sound

and then(title of the song no less, you can get this too!)
Oh- it must have been while you were kissing me.

    (end)

and for those who arent Meat Loaf fans( ) lets try something different

I'm waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime
reflecting on my past life and it doesnt have much time

cos at 5 o clock they take me to the gallows pole
the sands of time for me are running low(curse to do with mothers), running low!!!

when the priest comes to read me the last rights
I take a look through the bars at the last sights of a world that has gone very wrong for me

can it be that theres some sort of error
its hard to stop the surmounting terror
    (heres where you come in!!)

    (end)

whats that line to finish the stanza? Song? Band(cover or original)? Album(I dont know this so enlighten me if you do)? Any interesting facts?

dont maske me be the only one doing this, some of you must know songs as well...

It's IRON MAIDEN - "Hallowed be thy Name" ;)
and taken from album Number of the Beast (1982)

The song has also been covered by CRADLE OF FILTH and ICED EARTH, the former's version was OK, in a parodying kind of way. The latter are an awesome band, but they stayed too close to the original, without giving it their own shine.

    next lines:
"Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?
tears flow but why am I crying?
after all, I'm not afraid of dying...... etc. etc."
    (oh, and death to $HARON O$BOURNE!!! :D )

Good idea for a game this, although I'm not entirely sure the moderators would approve of this blatant post-whoring.

post whoring? Is that where you get a really high post count or something? Wow achievement...

it is Hallowed be thy Name and the lines are correct(especially the sharon osbourne bit, its hard to hear but I know someone says it!!)

no one know the meat loaf one? a hint then, its on the same album as the first one.

heres the next, again either original or cover will do.

I see a ship in the harbor
    I can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortune
I'd be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken
And I thought I heard you speak
    (missing line)
    (missing line)

    (end)

if thats too obscure(not really but hey) lets try something easy as well.

Who's your leader, who's your man?
Who will help you fill your hand?
Who's your friend and who's your foe?
Who's your Judas, you don't know?

    (missing line, also track name)

The first one is 'Blue Monday' by New Order.

I've no idea about the second one.

Meat Loaf again - "You took the words right out of my mouth" - Bat Out Of Hell

    How about this

The paper holds their folded faces to the floor,
and every day the paper boy brings more

It's from the album 'Dark side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd, but the name of the track escapes me. 'Eclipse' maybe?
