My sparring buddy used to wear glasses while training and sparring, and he never had any problems with them.

 

So how did the surgery work out? I've met a few that weren't done very well and a few others that loved it--they see better than they used to. How long did it take you to be at the point it "changed your life"?

As for me, I wear contacts while training. I wear glasses for just about everything else. I like the contacts because I don't have to spend money replacing glasses every time they break. As have been mentioned upthread, contacts are great with peripheral view.
