Scarlet...are you the guy on the far left of the first picture? (my guess is based on the fact that the dude looks like he's packing a .44) Thanks for the pic on this thread too, nice to see some real men.

Come on! That's a lousy guess. There are only a few guys that appear in both pictures.

When was the green belt introduced in BJJ?

 

Junior rank. Intermediate belt in between white and blue for minors under 16yrs of age. In some schools I've heard they withhold blue until 18, but in most cases 16.

 

Ah right. I just wondered if he had the same reason for wearing one as I do, I don't have a white belt! Since he looks a bit older than 18.

 

You were born in 86...which makes you 21? why don't you have a white belt then?

 

Wait -- aren't half of the guys in the first pic also in the second? My screen's too small to fit both pix on it at once so it's hard to compare. Give us a hint! None of them has red eyes ...

Just never had one, didn't get one with a gi, and never had one in regular JJ, so I wear my green, with my instructor's permission. Since I don't compete, I've never felt the need to try and track one down for permanent use, and all my lessons are private anyway, so noone really cares.

 

I scrapped that guy out, he looked to sweet to be Scarlet. Am I wrong?
