MAP Meet 2019 is on Saturday June 15th

    Where is it?

    High Wycombe Judo Centre
    http://www.wycombejudocentre.co.uk/

The venue has matted training areas large enough for 2 or 3 sessions at the same time, changing rooms and showers, on site parking and a social bar area overlooking the main Dojo.

    What time is it?

Arrive by 10.00 to sign in if you are taking part in the whole event.

Who is teaching and what arts can I try?

Proposed line up (subject to minor changes in order):

    Simon - Group Warm Up - 10.20-10.30.
    Session 1. 10.30 - 12.00 - Pretty in Pink - Jui Jitsu
Session 2. 12.15 to 13.45 - Simon - Catch Wrestling Ground Flow Drill

    Break for lunch - 13.45 to 14.15

    Session 3. 14.15 - 15.40 - Smurf - Jujitsu - Locks and takedowns
    Session 4. 15.50 - 17.00 - TBC - There'll be a choice on the day :)

    Getting there
The location is just off one of two M40 junctions for the town and close to the M4 and M25 routes.

    Buses or taxis
You can get a taxi or blag a lift from the central bus station. The Booker/Lane End one (032A) is most likely to be the best choice.

You either want the Turnpike Corner West stop or the Lansdell Avenue Stop. The Judo Centre is in Barry Close, High Wycombe, HP12 4UE

    Rail
The station (with trains roughly every 20 mins) is on the Birmingham to Marylebone line, so you can get intercity to one of those locations (or Banbury) and then switch.

    How do I pay?
Via the just giving page Read Simon's story
Please donate a minimum of £20 to charity.

    What charity are we supporting?
MAP has supported some very worthy charities over the years and the 2019 Meet will be in aid of Get involved – The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK

Can I bring a friend/partner/another member of my club?
Yes. As long as they pay through the Just Giving page. Minimum age is 13+

    Will it be fun?
    Oh yes, very much so.

Size, shape, sex, fitness and flexibility aren't a requirement. Come and meet the people you talk to online and see them in a different light.

We look forward to seeing you there.

If it was not for the fact it is a 9.5 hour flight from the nearest airport...I'd be there. But I will not be able to make it, wish I could but it is a bit to far for me. Hope everyone has a great time

We really enjoyed last time! Next year, however, we are planning a big trip to Okinawa a month later, so.... we'll see if we are able to attend the MAP Meet, too, or not.

Interesting to read about your supported charity, I hadn't heard of EDS but since my youngest has joint hypermobility and has had to deal with with chronic pain for some years I"ll be looking into it some more.

Looks like a great line up, if Hannibal is coming all the way from Canada I really ought to make the effort to travel the short journey down the M40 !

    Some information on EDS.

If you can get off your butt and attend you'll have attended something really special.

If you can't make it please do make a donation. Even a small amount really can make a difference.

I'll do some live streaming, so you'll get the chance to see the sessions you'd want to witness if you were there.

You really can make a difference.

Dan made a difference and the 2017 MAP Meet was in his memory.

If you ever can make it, there would be space in my home for you to stay. It would be the least I can do to help out a long time MAPper. and I always look forward to making new friends :)
