I'll not put the link to all the pictures here, as it's not right that a non registered lurker can download them all, so please send me a PM or an email and I'll send you the link. There are now about 730 pictures and 70 videos to sort through.
Brief clip from Unreal Combat's Muay Thai session. I was impressed by the flexibility on display. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc8Nw-zc5-c"]2015 MAP Meet Muay Thai Session - YouTube[/ame]

Oooh, I'd never thought about bringing the leg up like that with the suplex. Normally I'd plant my knee in their stomach. I'll have to try it next time I have a play mate, see if it makes any difference.
It's amazing what you actually take away from a MAP Meet. In the bar afterwards one of the participants approached me saying although they have boxing in their system, the movement had never been explained to them as I did it. My student, Andy, took Unreal Combat's session and he noticed that although we kick in the same sort of way as he does, he has a drop of one shoulder a few inches more than we do, a more pronounced hip and shoulder twist and a slightly different lead hand position. Andy and I drilled it in class yesterday and to additional power generated was quite surprising. The actual leg movement remained as it always had, the upper body mechanics made all the difference.
Theres a follow up that didnt get filmed and I showed a couple of people. You throw over but you hold on to the arm triangle and then start gator rolling. Do it enough times and you get points galore and win easy. Like an infinity combo in a Campcom beat em up. Or you keep rolling and up in mount..depending on your agility and flexibility
*agility and flexibility* Yep, that's me out of the equation Whelp, that's the last time I miss a MAP meet because of personal circumstances...It looked like an excellent day all round actually. Sad I missed it.
I had the problem that for the last few months I've been drilling guillotines and following escapes to wind up in mount. It was really hard for me to do that move and not end up there. Which unfortunately for Ian meant a couple neck cranks that are apparently illegal in judo
if all my joints are small, does it make it illegal for you to do any techniques on me? if so, i may just shake your hand.
