Firstly, let me say thank you to everyone for their patience in sticking with us while we sorted this out. Me and Anth have seriously been working our bums off to bring MAP back online. To fix the fault, we had to restore a backup of MAP from the 2nd of March. We've lost some posts and if you registered after 5am on the 2nd, you will need to re-register. A week ago there was a fault with the database. We noticed only the new posts were showing up. Database faults have been coming more and more frequent, so I didn't think too much of it until the usual fixes didn't work. On checking the database, I found it was just over 200 megabytes in size, when it should be well over 1 gigabyte and we'd lost a massive amount of data. Thankfully we had a backup and were able to restore it. The fault is still being investigated, but we've taken steps to prevent it happening again, one of which is finally upgrading MAP. Among other things, we have a new design, a few new features and plenty coming up in future. We've lost a few weeks posts, but the downtime gve us the chance to improve the site so something good has come out of it. Hope your glad to see the place back, and thanks again! We've missed you!
You guys have done an outstanding job. Been there, done that, got a drawerfull of those recovery t-shirts, and it's not something i relish doing. Cudos. BTW, love the new look.

Weeeell If you go to the skin chooser in the bottom left hand corner, there's a style called Classic MAP, which is the old MAP look, just in case this one isn't to everyone's liking. Its not working perfectly yet as the background is a funny colour mind.
Ah yes that's better. You should summarise the new features (if you haven't already) for those of us who are blind as bats and/or 'computerly challenged' (thanks to bells for the new term )
At last. A week without MAP , I was going cold turkey, I even had to do this thing called work:cry: Thanks Saz for giving me a reason to skive off work again.:love:
Man oh man!!!! It's sorted!! The hookers and cheap booze were getting a bit tiresome. No more kebabs after being out all fricken night... no more excuses to the missus where I was until noon the next day. FFS.. I seriously missed MAP.
I like the drop down for selecting a thread page number. Will come in handy for those monster threads
