That'll be the bag of sugar he had on the way to the weight in. You know the drills, you've done the work, hands high, stick and move. Good luck.
Thanks guys. It will please you all to know that I won the fight. Stopped my opponent thrice during the bout. Will post a video up once I receive it.
It certainly wasn't easy. Was battling nerves etc and, while the other guy wasn't a Muay Thai fighter, he'd had 10+ fights in Full Contact Kickboxing and K1 Rules Kickboxing behind him. I was that overwhelmed by the whole experience I don't even remember the second knockdown, lol. He was a very respectful fighter, even though I'd kneed him (kinda got a bit carried away to be honest) in the head after the first knockdown. I got told off by Jompop (the referee, ex Thai champion) for it harshly too, lol. There's certainly lessons I come away with learnt, but it was an awesome experience, though I'm suffering a little for it now, haha.
Mate, ya did well for yerself - fighting a fellow with over 10 full full contact fights under his belt is no joke. Looking forward to the vids!
Yeah, from what I know he's challenging for a K1 Rules title next month. If he wins it I might see if I can challenge him for it seems I've beaten him once already. Will post video when my mate uploads it.
Thanks mate. Calf and knee are a bit sore from blocking low kicks etc but I'm otherwise ok. Nothing a day or two of rest won't sort.
Got the videos over, just editing them together now then I will upload. Should be up within an hour or so.
Here you go guys. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxT8S_NhFCI"]Muay Thai Showcase 2014 - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks. A couple of photos from the night. There was a professional photographer there on the night too so if I manage to get hold of any of those photos I'll share those also.
