Hello, I can't find anyone who teached any of the Kenpo/Kempo variants near Lansing,MI. There are quite a few styles here and some Okinawan..more traditional than I am familiar with. I had a lead from a guy on one of the Kenpo forums but he disappeared before I got any info. I hear something of a teacher...a Kenpo variant who once taught in Lansing,MI and/or Detroit area. All my searches have run into dead ends so far. Any ideas?

I know there's somebody around Detroit that teaches it. Maybe you could call them and see if they know anyone up your way. Have you tried to see if there are classes at MSU?

Have a look at this site for Shorinji Kempo in Ann Arbor.

Gary Dolce Sensei is an experienced instructor in regular contact with the Headquarters in Japan and the other branches across Canada and USA. Read the site and check out the links.

Ask if you can watch a class, try it and see for yourself. Oh, and don't bother looking for Sokes, GrandMasters, "Death Touch" or "Killer Ki"... we don't do that :).
