I posted here on MAP, but I just have to tell you that tonight was one of the most wonderful clases ever and I got a beating. It was good because I haven't sparred in a while and it was fun. I got a very ugly bruise size of somebody's foot in my ribs.

For those persons that don't believe that you can actually get hurt by those "bullet proof hogus" I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong. I have an official Adidas hogu, like the one of the Olympics. Even though I have a bullet proof hogu I have one of the most horrible bruises that I have ever gotten in the chest.

Have a good day all of you MAPers.

you don't have to bother to clarify anything about those ''bullet proof hogus''. i completely understand you because i've been there. i can tell you that it probably won't be your last bruise, but we do train a martial art, so love your bruises :D :D :D when my kids at the club complain about bruises from sparring i simply tell them ''keep moving'', ''don't stand in one place'' and you won't have those bruises anymore. so it gets really fun for them. :)

Good to see you posting again PF! Congrats on your bruise. :D

I can relate because a few weeks ago I had a very similar experience. A senior BB worked me over good during sparring. My ribs were sore for two weeks (I'm pretty sure I cracked at least one - but I didn't get it x-rayed so I can't swear to it). It hurt just to take a deep breath!

Oh yeah, I was wearing my Tiger Claw hogu at the time!

If it doesn't turn green, it's not a real bruise. :)

I am kind of proud of my sore ribs and the nasty bruise.

    I want another one.

Kwan gae you shoulded have get an X ray, but I understand you. I never go to the doctor unless I almost can't walk.
