I see sparring gloves range from £5 to over £50. What would be a good start? Are the lower priced ones useless?
I bought the best pair of sparring gloves I have ever owned for $20 yesterday (australian dollar is worth a little more than half of your currency) I would say cheap isn't useless but you want something that would last.
It depends on type of gloves and materials and what you are to use them for. Blitz make open palm leather gloves for around £20 which I used today and they are brilliant. I also have a pair of dipped foam ones that cost me £10 and are ok for light sparring.
