How many multiple opponents vs Muhammad Ali ?

I keep reading posts insisting that 1-vs-5 or even 1-vs-30 fights
were real !

Since I do not believe that 1-vs-4 is practically possible, I set up
the subjects silly, I must admit, question.

Assume the opponents are 6 feet tall, average strength and fitness,
and that they dont know who they are messing with (this means
that they jump on him simultaneously, rather than chickening out
and Ali takes them out one by one).

I personally think no way more than 5.

Even if they get him in his sleep and tie him down with ropes and stakes I still say Mohammed "gulliver" Ali would win. It would take 100's of them to stop him.

The problem with a real fight like that is that you have to take them out very quickly or they will simply overwhelm you. You punch one person, someone hits you in the back of the head. You try to hit the next one, they kick your knee.

The point of my thread is "one-vs-multiple opponents", replace Ali with anybody
you want and give me the maximum you think possible.
