Hi, internal qi (nei qi) is a vital component in internal arts (neijia), but also is external qi (wai qi) otherwise as IMA our skill would be inferior to that of an EMA who also trains 'ne qi', being Shaolin monks a prime example. So, what exercises do you carry (if any) out to train external qi. Personally I hit the gym only once every 7-10 days since I have been training for 20 years. I also swim and go for long walks. Finally I also enjoy rock-climbing and mountaineering. Sometimes I freedive and spearfish. If you just focus yourself in developing internal qi, you are just half strong. It's time to start Gerard.
