Hello everyone, I've recently moved to the DC area. I've been studying wado ryu karate for about three years now. If anyone is from the area (doesn't matter what style) I wouldn't mind getting together to train a little. .
I'm just outside of DC in Alexandria. Don't get a lot of time to train these days. But I'm around. Eskrima, mostly, by the way. My karate background is limited to a semester's worth of Shotokan and five years of taekwondo.
I'll let you know when I set up a place. Maybe you can stop by and do some stick work with us and work out a little.
Be happy to. There's actually quite a bit of FMA (Filipino martial arts) in the DC area, if it's something you're interested in. Sticks, knives, pangamot (empty hand), etc.
