Hi evey one hope you can help I know this is a basic question but which do you class as the inside line when you parry,i.e do you use a Pak Sao or Tan Sao with the rear hand in a right lead

i have read about this in 2 books and they are both different

Right lead to right lead - he punches with his right - I tan sao with my left = Inside.

No problem - but you can pak sao on the inside line - in the example above this would be loy woang pak sao - inside cross parry. This ould normally be done at the same time as countering with the left hand - either under or over your right arm. I prefer over as it leaves my left hand more readily available to hit with fak sao - I would cover his right with a left tan sao at the same time.
