    Hey All, I posted some footage of the demos from the World Championships in Manila in January of 1992 that I thought many people would take interest in. Illustrisimo, Gaje, and several other well known GM's are in the clips. Any help you may have regarding information on the people demoing, what the announcer is saying, etc. would be greatly appriciated.

    All I can say is these clips made me feel old, as I remember sitting their in the audiance watching these and many other demo's and this was a major turning point in my FMA journey to say the least.

    The commentator was MAESTRO Inocencio "Sioc" Glaraga of Kalaki Arkanis and he was describing to the audiance who each individual was, what system they were known for and some of the history behind the FMA in the Philippines. There where other demo's and many more Masters and GM's in attendace through-out the week and MAESTRO Inocencio "Sioc" Glaraga was basically the MC for the weeks events.

    Here are all the clips in order with who taught.

    Enjoy.

    First off Pat let me thank you for sharing this information with us. This has been my exact intention behind these clips in that I wanted to find out as much as possible about the GM's demoing. I have posted another five clips:

    No problem Brother here is what I have on the other clips

    Clip 5
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trgsktm0c_c"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trgsktm0c_c[/ame]
    1. Hertencio Navales from Negros
    2. Jose Mena and Inocencio "Sioc" Glaraga
    That jumping shot he does was un-mistakeable I used it to great effect in tournaments after that :lol:
    3. ?? Sorry cant remember
    4. Cacoy Canete and Danny Guba
    5. ?? Sorry another one I can remember

    Clip 6
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjnMup5FaDw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjnMup5FaDw[/ame]
    1. Jose Mena and Inocencio "Sioc" Glaraga
    I know this one because GM Jose Mena done some Hilot on John Harvey as his shoulder was playing up after this demo and I done some 1 to one knife training with him that day too :D

    2. I do beleive it was Nene Tortal, as he wore a leather strap on his wrists during this demos at that time. And you will notice that Inocencio "Sioc" Glaraga who is doing the commentary say's he is doing Pekiti Tirsia.

    Clip 7
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYynFeXGIhU"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYynFeXGIhU[/ame]
    1. Nene Tortal teaching Chris Nazalowski from Australia & Poland and then Kevin Seeman from USA 3 mins 16 secs in to the clip is a short clips of Jose Mena in the background
    2. The picture is bad but I beleive it is Elmer Ybanez of Lightning Scientific Arnis.

    Clip 8
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laMZ91nnUJw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laMZ91nnUJw[/ame]
    1. I still think it is Elmer Ybanez but only 95% sure as the picture quality is bad. th more I look at it the more I am convinced it is Elmer. And in what looks like another clip is still Elmer but this time he is teaching Steve Wolk from USA, then Kevin Seeman, No sure who the other Pinoy is with Kevin Seeman but more than likely a Lightning practioner.
    2. A short clip of Jose Mena doing an Armara

    Clip 9
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD0vPeaQI-g"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YD0vPeaQI-g[/ame]
    1. Jose Mena partnered by one of the Ilustrisimo guys who name I cant remember, but we met up a few times, sorry Bro age is getting to me

    Best regards

    Thanks for making me feel really old:rolleyes:

    No realy it was great to see some footage from that year, I had a Video Camera but I lent it along with the footage I shot to my then Instructor who managed to loose it and it had my best fight ever on it against Vince Palumbo from Australia.:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: plus some rare personal footage I shot too with the likes of GM Heyrosa of Balintawak, GM Ondo Caburany of Lapunti Arnis De Abanico and GM Momoy Canete as well as all the British Team Fights from 1992. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: But hey no point in crying over split milk, good to see someone got some good clips.

    Thanks for sharing I say

    Best regards

    I have also been informed by some compardres that on clip 5, section 3 this is actually Tatang Ilustrisimo and Romi Macapagal. The picture is not clear at all hence I could not really tell who it was. So all we need to do is find the missing name to the other sectionn in clip 5. Any ideas anyone???

    Best regards
