Depends on a few things: type of rope, how it's tied, how tightly it's tied, arms in front or back...(and whether or not you want toget loose) too many variables to try and explain on line. A few suggestions tho: When being tied, inhale deep into chest to expand it. That may give you a bit of slack to work with. Try and get away with flexing your muscles, again it may give you the slack you need. Above all, as with anything else, practice.
If you are properly restrained by somebody that knows what they are doing, then you really have no chance of escape as all movement will have been taken away from you. In other words, you had better start being nice to your girlfriend incase she runs off ****ing herself laughing at your next bondage night!
Flex all muscles as much as possible. If limbs are being tied, put them as far apart as possible without drawing attention. Thats what Houdini did...
Yes, it will hurt, and its not a good plan. Its easier to do if you've done it before, basically involves popping a joint out of its socket. Not a fun game.
If the rope is tied right your screwed or lucky. In the movie Lethal Weapon Mel Gibson gets out of straight jacked by dislocating his shoulder. If possible try to roll to a nearby heat source or sharp edge and get loose that way.
Hatsumi-sensei has said many times that dislocating joints to escaoe from bindings should be your very last resort as doing so numerous times weakens the joints and is quite dangerous as far as long-term effects go. I wouldn't recommend dislocating anything unless absolutely necessary, never for practice. Not sure when you'd end up in a situation that would require you to dislocate joints unless you're taken hostage so given the probability of such an event, I wouldn't go around practicing joint dislocation for kicks. Toy with other methods as suggested above.
I guess but most of the time when you're being tied up its for hostage type reasons, but yeah blacksun and the rest are probably the first to use
