Dealing with night shifts

    I've worked nights when i was 16 till 17 and i do them again now.

    Best thing I've found is to kick alcohol and use a ZMA supliment.

    make sure you get a decent amount of outside time too, i don't want to get into cicadian rhythms but you need sun time.

    I like a really cold bedroom too.

    I looked up sleep hacks and it has a lot of interesting information. Although I'm used to reading/hearing the "have a regular wake-up time" advice from everywhere and it's become a "tired" old cliche that can't work for rotating shift workers.
    I find it very easy to have a cold bedroom from maybe April - October (or May-September depending on the year). Right now it's a little more difficult. I don't have A/C and I've toyed with keeping the window open but it does let in more noise...however, the ear plugs do help with this.
    I've ordered a memory foam black out eye mask, I'll be interested to see if the discomfort overwhelms the blackout or if it works pretty well for me.
