    "swinging a wooden sword around your garden doesn't count as training" Yes it does. Several sword art's involve just swinging the sword in predetermined set's so one can become efficient in there use. That's the point of training.

    Any sword art out there will have people practice there sword swing's first before they spar with anyone. That's no different from what i am doing.
