I might be moving to New York City to attend CUNY Hunter's graduate program in Social Work, and I was wondering what Taekwondo school I should focus on to continue my training in this graceful art. I'm very ambivalent, as I love ITF style sparring, but have only participated in WTF sparring. Which schools do you think would be the best in NYC for ITF Taekwondo? (Just trying to avoid the mcdojos, and find a good place that trains hard and emphasizes proper technique.) On the other hand, there is a great WTF Taekwondo school I know of in NYC by the name of "West Side Taekwondo", and my current instructor knows the founders of the school. If anyone has any experiences about good TKD schools in New York City, let me know. As I'm trying to make a decision of which dojang to join. Thanks guys, ~ Ben
Does anyone here attend any ITF TKD schools in NYC, or know of any with a good reputation for hard contact? (Sorry for the double post, just hoping I can get some information.)
