BJ didn't let go when Jens tapped, but he did let go when the ref intervened. Babalu however, tried to resist the ref's intervention. I think this sets a harsh precedent for fighters that don't listen to the refs.
I agree with you there. Also I think 'harsh penalties" are good for the safety of the involved parties. As the sport grows and more and more people take part, there's a need to make sure the rules that they have are enforced.
