The first year is dedicated to med-surg training, during which time I would be unlikely to deploy, after that year I request the area I want to train in. At that point I might be denied the mental health training- though I would be surprised if that happened considering how few people want to go into it. After training, I might be deployed depending on what I train in.
No not the Army! Navy schools are better and you will get the opportunity to see better parts of the world.
