do you know any good kung fu movies? some without weapons but pure fighting? i dont wanna see a story, i wanna see some fighting.
Start off with the 'must see' movies. All the OLD Jackie Chan stuff like Drunken Master, Fearless Hyena's etc. The Jet Li Wong Shun Leung series are classics also. Bruce Lee of course!
bruce lee has a story, why doesnt any one make of movie about pure kick @$$ they can call it " PURE KICK @$$ it can be 3 hours long and the title knida says it all , and tell me how many of you wouldnt wanna see it! no one
Pretty much the same as Andy. But defo drunken master (jackie chan), Once upon a time in china (Jet li) and ne bruce lee film you choose. Those are the must see's in my opinion.
For Kung Fu/ Martial Arts Movie Reviews go here: http://www.martialartsadvice.com/cat.php?cat=3 Some excellent, some not so, all watched and reviewed by my fair self.
gordon liu has some good stuff five deadly venoms has a lot of story but is aw3esome nonetheless master of the flying guillotine is the best kung fu movie ever created. drunken master, yes, is really really great. jet li's the one is the only jet li movie i've ever seen and it was terrible...didn't like the fighting and the story was just AWFUL
I'd recommend fearless hyena of Jackie chan and any bruce lee movie, try these reviews... http://www.geocities.com/televisioncity/studio/4040/reviews.html |Cain|
Lol, The idea with reviews is to actually say something about the movie and what it entails and give a new perspective on it and not repeat the studio marketing blurb, by just describing the plot and who's in it! That's the easy way out! (My Thousandth post!-Oh god, where did it all go wrong?)
It just snuck up on me, I was planning to do the traditional 1000th post thing, but suddenly there I was spouting off about the standard of Kung Fu movie reviews.... Oh well, i'll wait until post 2000, by that time, i'll of thought of a really rock hard thread topic. LOL. Back to movie reviews-Rubbish!
Prodigal Son, and Chess Boxing are classics. 'Master with Cracked Fingers' is so bad you godda see it.
I think Andy Murray and I are drawing from the same video library Cracked fingers - wtf was that film about? The old films have the best kung fu IMO. They may have done 50 takes to get it right but it's often a lot more real than later stuff. Every time you get the urge to buy one, you could save a lot of hasle by going for reommendations; I think 2/3 of the films I've bought are diabolical. The best Jackie Chan films have excellent training scenes: Drunken Master, Fearles Hyena are my faves. Rgds, David Another good Jackie Chan is Hand of Death.
ahh..... Wong Fei Hung? I like these quality Jackie Chan films - Snake in Eagles Shadow, Drunken Master. Way of the Dragon, Fist of Fury -goes unsaid, but not really Kung Fu films.
the cheesiest kung fu movie (witha wful kung fu) was bruce lee fights back from the grave. starring...bruce LI. it was absoultely terrrible...terrrrible...but still entertaining.
