Aikido in Leeds?

I posted this question in "Discussion on Schools and Teachers" earlier but I'm not sure if many aikido people have seen it. Does anybody know about aikido clubs in Leeds (or failing that in West Yorkshire) in Yoshinkan, Tomiki, Shodokan and possibly other aikido styles but not "mainstream aikido" or ki-aikido? I would also be interested in hearing about any aiki ju jutsu in Leeds,

I suggest you contact the British Aikido Federation web page. This should give you information about a class in Leeds supervised by Mr Ken Marsden , a senior instructor of the B.A.F.He may well be in Leeds University???

There is Dentokan aikijutsu/jujutsu in Wakefield on Friday evenings (7-9), this is essentially Hakko ryu, a sister art to aikido in that it is derived from Daito ryu. Info on the style here. Training at Sandal Methodist Church Scout hut, 253 Barnsley Road.

There is also Tomiki aikido in Wakefield, and possibly Leeds also, but I don't know where or when they train.

 

Please do a Google search. Look in the phone book, check your local community centres etc.

I would recommend Ken Marsden who indeed trains at the University and at Richard Dunn sports centre in Bradford.

There are not only aikido but more different martial arts like karate, okinawan kobudo, ju-jitsu.

I think they are connected to shin shin toitsu.
im only guessing here but it would appear there main aikido influence is this Dodaro Sensei that is quoted talking mince about aikido.
i stuck the name in to google and youtube, and found a few so called aikido demos. from where im coming from and from what ive been taught, it def has NOTHING to do with traditional aikido.
there is one clip with the worst 5 man jyuwaza ive ever seen and the funniest tachidori ever, think you would love it koyo. not.

I have rokkyu students who have better aikido than in that clip..
